Obituary

On August 27, 2024, Donna M. Schultz joined my father, Ron, in Heaven to dance again Cheek to Cheek. She passed away peacefully at the Tidewell Hospice House in Venice Florida after a short stay, surrounded by family.

Donna was born in Des Moines, Iowa on February 19, 1940, to Joseph and Lillian Sanders. Donna graduated from North High School and attended McPherson College in Kansas.

Donna married Ronald (Ron) Schultz in 1962 and had one daughter, Staci LeAn. She lived in Urbandale most of her life until relocating to Venice, Florida, with her daughter and grandchildren.

Donna enjoyed dining out and traveling, taking her first cruise in 2022. She was an avid game player and loved playing cards with family and friends, jigsaw puzzles, and the “occasional” trip to the casino.

Donna was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Des Moines, and the Order of Eastern Star.

Donna is survived by her daughter, Staci (Schultz) Bishop; her grandchildren, Davison, Zach, and Kylie Bishop; and a brother Larry Sanders.

Visitation will be from 10:00 -11:00 on Friday, September 27, 2024 with an Eastern Star Service to begin funeral rites. Both will be held at the Iles Westover Chapel. Interment will be at the Masonic Cemetery in Des Moines, Iowa. Online condolences are welcome at www.IlesCares.com.
