Obituary

Beverly Lou Matulef, 91, of Urbandale, Iowa died Thursday, September 26, 2024 at Taylor House Hospice, Des Moines, Iowa with her family at her side. She was born January 1, 1933 in Chicago, Illinois to Nate Bernberg & Irene (Nierman).

Beverly was married to Jerry Matulef for 58 years. They retired to Henderson, Nevada in 2001 enjoying retirement filled with shopping, dinners out with friends, shows, pool days and the warm weather.

Survivors include daughter Marceen Matulef-Peters, son Robert Matulef, granddaughter Eliece (Ryan) Lathrop, great grandson Grayson Lathrop, and great granddaughter Henley Lathrop and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Nate & Irene Bernberg, husband Jerry Irving Matulef in 2014, and sister Fern Feder and Ed Feder.

A graveside committal service will be 12:00pm, Sunday, September 29, 2024 at Jewish Glendale Cemetery, Des Moines.

In lieu of flowers, the family has respectfully requested that any memorial contributions be made to Taylor Hospice House.

She will be deeply missed by all that knew her.
