Obituary

On December 16, 2024 in the early morning, we sadly said our goodbyes to Tracy Irene Meacham-Duncan at age 57, after a seven year battle with kidney disease. A celebration of life will be held at the American Legion Hall in Indianola, Iowa from 12-3pm on February 8, 2025. In the spring, private burial services will be held at Murray Cemetery in Murray, Iowa.

Ecclesiastes 3:1 “To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven”

Tracy was born to Dennis Meacham and Helen Cannavo in Des Moines, Iowa on June 16, 1967. During childhood, Tracy grew up in Indianola, Iowa and graduated Indianola High School.

Proverbs 17:6 “Children’s children are a crown to the aged and parents are the pride of their children”

Tracy lived to be a loving, supportive, and compassionate Mother and Grandmother, instilling wisdom and morality through her linage. When asked, she would proudly say her biggest accomplishments are her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her grandchildren Dakota(22), Maverick(1), Rosalie(9), Coralee(7), and Marlee(newborn).

Tracy is loved and remembered by her life partner Roger Arends, her children Neal Duncan and Amber Meacham, and her step-children Colton, Caleb, and Christina Arends. Tracy is survived by her Mother, Helen(Keith) Blanchard and siblings Dwight(Anita) Meacham, Virgil(Heidi) Meacham, Ronda(Anthony) Luna, and Cindy Morgan. ‘Oreo,’ Tracy’s former life companion survives and is being loved and cared after by her sister Cindy, to which immediate family extends special gratitude and appreciation. Tracy proceeds in death her father Dennis Meacham, step-father Terry Morgan, brothers Steven Jensen and ‘Baby David,’ and daughter Shantelle Meacham. Tracy’s late life companion ‘Snuggles’ will be remembered with her.

Immediate family extends their deepest appreciation to family and friends for their support and contribution during this tragic time. Especially thank you to ‘the siblings.’ The love, stability, and support you provided brought peace and comfort to Tracy’s life, and supersedes gratuity alone. Thank you Iles Grandview Park Funeral Home for the humility, respect, and compassion aiding the family. Your value is beyond monetary. Any contribution or donation remembering Tracy’s life can be made to Iles Grandview Park directly, or the family has organized a ‘GoFundMe.’

Matthew 5:4 “Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted”
