Obituary

Our beloved mother, Teresa “Teri” Ira has passed away on June 22, 2025 at the age of 63. She was known for her big heart, strength, and her unwavering love for her family. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, laughter, and memories that will give us smiles for a life time.

Teresa was truly one of a kind, known for her signature 80's hairdo and a personality that radiated happiness and fun. She loved to laugh and brought joy to every gathering. She had a love for classic TV shows like "Family Feud," "The Price is Right," and "Gilligan's Island," she also found immense joy in cheering on her favorite sports teams, especially the Iowa Hawkeyes and her beloved Green Bay Packers (forgive her!)

She will be deeply missed by her children, Nick (Ryan Kae) Ira, Bob Ira, grandson Kaeden Ira, sister Tracy (Doug) Hausman, along with many other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Ben and Aina Daugherty.

A Memorial Gathering will take place from 5:00pm to 8:00pm, Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at Iles Grandview Park Chapel, 3211 Hubbell Avenue, Des Moines, Iowa 50317. Teresa’s family will greet friends during those hours.
