Obituary

Shane William Calkins age 40, born June 29th of 1985, has fought a long battle against GBM. Sadly he passed away September 11th of 2025 in his home surrounded by loved ones. He was a wonderful husband, father, family member, and friend to anyone who got the chance to know him. Wild and full of life with plenty of ambition he was! He was very strong and courageous throughout all his years. Shane will be dearly missed by many!

Shane's memories are survived by his wife Danielle Calkins, also his two children Jacob Calkins and Autumn Calkins. His mother Becky Cox, sister Megan Calkins and brother-in-law Ricky Heimbaugh, along with his two nieces Layla and Lily Calkins, nephews RJ Heimbaugh, Trenton Heimbaugh, and Noah Heimbaugh, brother Alex Calkins and sister-in-law Crystal Jasper, along with his niece Lexi Calkins, brother Brandon Calkins, brother DJ Calkins, Grandma Wilma Curry, along with many other aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

Shane is preceded in death by his father Dean Calkins, father-in-law Fred Cox, mother-in-law Sheri Dalton, and father-in-law David Dalton, along with grandparents. Along with a few of his homies!

Shane was full of many skills and if he didn't know how to do it, he would learn how. He believed no task was unsolvable and could be done in some way. Shane was filled with kindness, compassion, understanding, and love for all!

Father in heaven take care of him for us please, you got a wonderful and gentle angel in heaven with you now. Shane until we meet again, see you later, and we all love you with all our hearts! XOXO
