Obituary

Darlene Alice White, 98, of Altoona, Iowa, passed away peacefully at a hospice facility surrounded by loved ones.

Born in Maxwell, Iowa, Darlene lived a long, fulfilling life marked by strength, quick wit, and a love for all things purple and lavender.

She is survived by her daughters, Lavona (Mick) Webb and Sharon Sherer; grandchildren, Todd, Dana, and Aaron; great-grandchildren, Dawn, Michael, Daniel, Antonio, Dustin, and Amanda; and great-great-grandchildren, Natalie, Alivia, Alexis, and Elliot.

Darlene was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Miles; granddaughter, Tracie Webb; and great-grandson, Julian Armstrong.

A memorial service will be held Monday, November 10, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Iles Grandview Funeral Home, with visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. Private family burial to follow.
